Directories work. Here's 5 everyday people proving it.

One year ago I started talking about directories on YouTube.

Ten months ago I created a free directory community (with over 3200+ members) so people can share tips, feedback and progress throughout their journey.

​

Back then, I remember thinking to myself that one year into building directories is about the timeline people should start seeing some wins (assuming you're new to SEO and directories).

​

So I thought it would be cool to share the wins that normal, everyday people are experiencing with their directories.

​

Everything from being accepted into Mediavine (private display ad network, 10k/mo sessions minimum), getting high-ticket lead submissions and organic listing creations - I'm seeing it all unfold.

​

Hope this inspires you to start building.

p.s. I’m only sharing directory URLs that are already public. I keep other examples private out of respect for the builders and to avoid inviting competition.

As I've gotten closer to a few builders in my community, I can say that these aren't people pouring 100% of their time and focus into directories.

​

These are people building on the side while balancing a full-time job, family, kids, and everything else that comes with it.

​

At the risk of sounding cliché, this is really just a reminder that if they can do it, you can too.

​
